Online Ojibwe Language Classes
**University of Wisconsin -Eau Claire offers beginning and intermediate Ojibwe**
These courses can be used to fulfill the foreign language requirement for a baccalaureate degree. Those who have questions about our program, or who wish to take Ojibwe online for college credit should contact our instructor: Dr. Wendy Makoons Geniusz at (715) 836-4768 or [email protected].
We have a new way for people to watch our live classes. We hope you will join us, and don't worry, we won't be able to see or hear you, but if you want to participate you can "chat" with us during the class by typing messages to us.
Our live Ojibwe classes are during the following times:
We are on winter break until September. Our archived classes will remain online, but we won't be broadcasting live until then.
Ojibwe I
Monday-Thursday 10:00am-10:50am and 3:00-3:50 central time
Ojibwe II
Monday-Thursday 1:00pm-1:50pm central time
Anyone can watch our live or archived classes for free, and those who want to pay tuition can earn up to 8 undergraduate language credits through our 2 semester program.
If you want to join us for the live classes, do the following:

- Choose "Join Meeting"
- if it asks for a name give them one (don't give an email)
- if your computer wants to download a "plug in" let it by choosing download or run (you will only have to do this the first time you join us)
- uncheck the boxes beside "send mic and video" but if you forget we will do it for you.
